Page 1 of 3 Chamomile is a smooth, apple-scented annual with divided leaves and daisy-like flowers. It is found from May to October. It measures about 6-24 inches. Chamomile has a short root, with a stem about 8-20 inches tall. The small flower heads have white flowers with many yellow tubular disk flowers at its center. Its seeds (fruits) are tiny. Once plant growth is established, no tending is necessary. They will spread their own seeds and produce new plants each year. Chamomile does need humus (a special soil), lots of sun, and occasional watering. Chamomile can often be found in fields and landfills, along roadsides, embankments, and field boundaries. Parts usually used: Dried flowers. It is commercially supplied as capsules, to be taken twice daily.
Other Names: Pin Heads, Chamomilla
