Bloodroot is a perennial plant native to the northeastern United States. The Bloodroot plant averages approximately 15 cm in height and has white flowering with orange-red colored roots. In the past, Bloodroot was used an an expectorant, found in toothpastes to help fight plaque and in mouthwash to help kill bacteria. Parts used: roots and whole plant
